Nowadays, hunger deprived people are increasing at a large scale although agricultural sector is witnessing technological changes. This essay highlights the causes of such a problem with some effective measures to eliminate it.
To begin with, there are some causes of widespread hunger irrespective to the advances made in agriculture. Firstly, one most prominent cause is skyrocketing prices of daily use consumable goods. To explain it, high taxation on consumer goods leads to higher prices which becomes unaffordable for some low economic group people. Instead of this, hunger deprivation occurs due to the stagnant poverty and unemployment among people which is the major cause for hunger. For example, those people who are jobless can not buy even a bottle of water in the superstore . Therefore, higher costs and unemployment are the two causes which leaves people to remain hungry.
Moving further, there are some effective measures which can be taken to reduce the level of hunger. First of all, government can provide daily use commodities either at subsidised prices or at free of cost to the poorer people.To extend my point, it can be proved an effective step if government take it seriously to reduce the number of hunger stricken people. For instance , government could provide kerosene oil , sugar, salt and many more to support them. In spite of this, another solution could be to provide some jobs by opening industries and factors which employ local people and it will results into the maintenance of their living and it could greatly eliminate the problem of hunger as they will ultimately spend their earnings according to their necessities.
To conclude, hunger is a major problem no matter it is developed or developing country as it arises from stagnant poverty and high prices of goods which leads to deprive poor people while it can be solved if government put their emphasis on lowering the expenses and by providing employment opportunities.
