In the contemporary world, the maximum age of each individual grows as time passes, and millions of people worry about the serious repercussions that this tendency can lead to. In my opinion, it is undeniable that our lives can become more complicated and that humanity has to face many issues.
Firstly, the major problem is that the life cycle can malfunction if humans approach to prolong life expectancy. Every organism, including us, has a typical lifespan, starting with a baby and ending with a demise. No matter how innovative and progressive the technology is, no one can break this obvious rule. However, if people do not pass away, we will unconsciously steal the chance for other creatures to appear on Earth and evolve. In particular, anyone can find the list of endangered or vanished species in encyclopedias. Subsequently, as the individual gets older, the requirements of expenditures for daily routine are more stringent. For example, South Korea was the country that had the second lowest fertility rate (1,11) in 2023, which means the elderly population has been increasing in no time. Lastly, when the ageing population rises, there is a noticeable impact on the environment and, especially, the political and economic situations. The civil conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, and Palestine and Israel are the two most outlined instances.
Nevertheless, civilization has time and resources to evaluate the present position and collaborate to do the best to enhance our lives. One of the measurements is to invest more in medicine and pharmacy development rather than waste millions of dollars on improving weapons. Once again, we have to come back to the situation in Gaza. Residents are dying in tens of thousands, but people do not receive enough materialistic and mental support. Instead of spreading negativity around the world by using tanks and pistols and announcing radical viewpoints, it would be much better to send medicines, foods and other mandatory items for everyday use. Additionally, people can stimulate various organisations to develop and increase the popularity of renewable energy.
In conclusion, this issue can lead to plenty of ramifications. Even though the future seems foggy, I firmly believe that people will make proper decisions so that everybody lives in peace and harmony.
