Nowadays, due to the dramatic rise in technology, it is projected that there won’t be any drivers needed to drive any type of vehicles. Consuming that, many people are worried about challenges this advancement might brought, along with the benefits. I personally believe that advantages outweigh drawbacks. This essay will elobrate my point of view.
On one hand, if this happens, in the future they would not been any drivers. Furthermore we will face a huge increase in unemployment rate. As a result, countries have to tackle this problem to find a job for former drivers who lost their jobs. Initially, it brings some difficulties in job situations. To add that up, when it first will be introduced, many people that are unaware of the researches and efforts that laid back of driveless cars will unsure about the safety. Moreover, it demands a period of time to attract passengers trust and ensure them about the safety.
However, this potential problems are referred to short-run. But, on the other hand, in long-run process, this technology will be benefitial in various ways. To be clear, if the governments thought ahead and find solution to unemployment occasion, and provide job positions, the released labors will shift to other sections. For instance, a former driver can be shifted to manufacturers. Initially, as a result of their more practical job, they will act as a GDP booster for a country.
Nonetheless, the incidents and death caused by road accidents will diminish significantly. As they are designed to function only as drivers, they are less likely to lose their concentrations on roads compared to human-beings.
Although this improvements will bring some issues in short-run, in case of thinking ahead and increase job capacity in advance, it is less likely to have further harmful consequences. Consequently, in long-run it only will benefit society, bring sense of relieve and comfort to nations, and overall, development for countries.
