It is argued that in the future, the major reason for going to the shopping mall will be for relaxation, not to shop. I partly agree with this idea due to following reasons.
On the one hand, in the coming years, a lot of people go to the shopping mall will be for entertainment. Modern malls are no longer just places to buy products; they now provide various entertainment facilities to attract visitors. Many malls include cinemas, bowling alleys, arcades and indoor playgrounds. As e-commerce becomes more convenient, people can purchase almost everything online, so malls must focus on experience instead. Consumers can compare prices and order products online within minutes. Many brands offer better discounts through online platforms than physical stores. Shopping malls offer a comfortable environment for leisure activities. Shopping malls usually have air conditioning, free seating areas, and clean facilities.
On the other hand, over the next few years, many people will still go to shopping malls for shopping or other practical purposes. Physical stores allow customers to direct examine products before making purchases. People can try on clothes, shoes, and accessories to check size and qualify. Customers often trust products more after seeing them in real life. Even in the future, malls may continue to function as gathering places for communities. Friends and families frequently meet in malls because they are convenient and accessible. Seasonal events, exhibitions, and cultural festivals are commonly organized in malls. Malls are multifunctional places where people can complete many daily tasks conveniently. Many malls contain supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, and clinics.
In conclusion, although in the coming years, a lot of people go to the shopping mall will be for entertainment because of a number of reasons, I would argue that over the next few years, many people will still go to shopping malls for shopping or other practical purposes.
