In recent years, it has been believed that renowned celebrities should publicize their private life to fans and the press. Personally, I totally disagree with this perspective for several reasons.
On the one hand, I admit that there are few indications showing that popular influencers should be granted the right to keep secrets about their private life. To begin with, celebrities may feel under pressure and even depressed if their fans and paparazzi interfere in their daily life. Many stars are constantly judged and criticized for their personal choices, such as their love relationships or public statements, this gives rise to feelings of anxiety and exhaustion. Take Sulli’s case as an example. She is a victim of public judgment and was found dead in her home after undergoing such harsh criticism from reporters and her fans about her personal life. Her death highlighted the mental health struggles faced by lots of celebrities and revealed the bitter truth behind the idol’s glory.
Additionally, the press should pay attention to the influencers’ occupational achievements rather than their private life. Specifically, the media can promote meaningful conversations and encourage a more positive public environment by avoiding invasion into the star’s personal life and respecting their privacy. When the media frequently emphasizes popular figures’ career goals, they will feel delighted and exert their effort to strive for more contribution to society. As a result, highlighting renowned celebrities’ professional achievements can create a source of inspiration for others to follow their idols and thus reach their own goals.
In conclusion, while others believe that popular influencers should not be given their rights of privacy, I totally disagree with this statement for the reasons mentioned earlier.
