Band 5+: In the last few decades there have been more and more cases of famous people being hounded by the press. Some people think that famous people in the media have no right to privacy. To what extent do you agree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Over the recent decades, famous celebrities are being harassed by media. Many people assert that popular people do not have right to keep anything private. I completely disagree that they are human too, so they have right to privacy and for this reason, they suffer from various health problems.

People who are popular have their personal lives. Some individuals think they are famous, therefore they have to share everything about their professional and personal lives as well. However, they should have the right to keep their private things as secret, otherwise they will be a victim of social bullying which might lead to outrageous situations and even do suicide. For instance, a survey showed that celebrities cannot lead a normal life because of the press, and around 5% of famous people attempt to suicide every year because the public harass them and spread rumours about their private lives.

In addition, because of the over-demand, sometimes stars suffer many problems that make their life disaster. First of all, they have to take ample amounts of mental pressure, which affect their lives both personal and professional. For instance, Emma Alina, professional badminton player of Sweden national team, said that general people always troll her private life and media hound her. As a result, she feels stress and cannot produce good performance. Furthermore, press always keep her under microscopes that is the main distraction for her.

In conclusion, I do not believe that famous stars should not right to keep their things private because they also have secret lives and face many serious issues for this.
