In the past few decades, an upward trend has been witnessed in scientific and technological development. In such society, artistic productions still receive high respect from most of us. Art not only romantically inspires but also shows us many things which is out range capability of science and technology.
First and foremost, we sometimes grasp messages or worldview contained in every artwork, which composers intendedly express through lyrics or poems. The messages unconsciously give us incentive to continue our path that we supposed to give up due to its harsh. For instance, a plenty of fictions shows misery or tragedy of main characters in their life. By reading those, readers somehow feel the empathy, sadness or bad-tempered as if it was their real life. One of fictions I have read called “the last leaf”, which genuinely convey the sorrow of the main character who is suffering cancer treatment and counts leaves on the tree as the number of her last days to readers. After having finished that work, I figured out how beautiful and valuable my current life is.
That is the value that individuals separately learnt themselves. Although feeling and opinions of each person towards each artwork are different, those are things that science cannot bring us. In the more extent, artists have a mission of imparting traditional value to the mass audience. Those are things that characterize each country or each region, which varies the world following the standard created by technology. From this point, we can say that unique features such as tradition, manner, belief, etc contribute to a flourish artist who would receive reverence that science never has.
In conclusion, artworks bring us valuable things or brighten our spirit, which is unreachable by advanced technology. Besides, artists are joining hands in keeping tradition that is the highest level of civilization development.
