Nowadays, traveling around the world is so common, as many countries are available for more and more visitors. While this trend brings several advantages, it also has some drawbacks. This essay will explore both sides.
One obvious benefit is that, it creates employment in services like accommodation, transport and entertainment. This leads to reduction the number of unemployment among people. For example, visiting different countries, tourists need accomodation to stay in, transports and plases to have a rest, creating new job positions in the country. Another advantage is that, tourism atracts investment from multi-national companies. This increases investors’ interest to have a business in host country, which can improve income of goverment.
However, there are also some disadvantages. Firstly, tourism can have a negative effect on the natural environment, as investors build different infrastructures which can destroy the habitat of wild animals and create pollution. Secondly, local traditions and cultures will be endangered, causing many culture shoks and misundetstandings. That is, tourists living in foreign countries will automatically affect the local people, for example, their style of clothing, lifestyles and outlooks.
In conclusion, although internationlal traveling has both advantages and disadvantages, I believe that, a balanced aproach will be better, if goverments will introduce laws to protect natural environments and local cultures.
