It is argued that large companies hold sporting events to advertise their product. According to some individuals, it is wrong to promote products as it is detrimental to the sport. From my point of view, while this argument may be reasonable, I believe that many companies can bring various benefits to the economy, organizations or even members of national teams.
On the one hand, it is understandable why some people believe that promotional products can have a negative impact on a sporting event, as they can change the mindset of many viewers. For instance, some commercial products may contain ingredients that are harmful to health, and even advertise goods such as tobacco, wine, or even cigarettes. As a result, this can lead to unpredictable regretful consequences, which is what usually attracts the younger generation. However, I find this argument is somewhat valid because we do not know what the effects of many types of promotions will be.
On the other hand, allowing large companies to contribute to the sport has many significant advantages, since they can motivate participants in the sports competitions. For example, if the best players in a particular sport win and perform best at the Olympics, companies usually give them expensive gifts to motivate them more in the next tournament. Or they can even give them adequate funds to prepare and get involved in the next competition as it brings a lot of satisfaction to the growth of the country. In addition, another advantage is that most companies use images of famous athletes in their commercials or even they invite them to take part in their product TV show.
In conclusion, some types of advertising in sports that are common among youngsters should be prohibited, and work with companies that create the desire in every athlete to win in various sports.
