Stress and anxiety have immersed at a very rapid pace, especially in lives of the current generation. These have upscaled the possibilities of getting prone to physical as well as mental illness. I believe that there are numerous factors that have engendered a boost of stress in people. In the following easy, I will share my insight on the causes of stress along with solutions to prevent this issue.

The first and foremost problem is the excessive use of technological equipments. We live in the era of digital advancement and our work depends heavily on these tools. As per a research, It was concluded that around 79 percent of people use technology between the span of 18 to 19 hours per day. As a result of this, the individuals get affected by health issues like eye weakness, migraine, obesity, and many more.

Secondly, the continuous pressure to perform well in academics, professional lives, along with personal lives, causes much more stress. Generally, students fear of failing or underperforming in examination, tends to think negatively and unfortunately takes life ending decisions. Recently, the results for board exams came out. Shockingly, 74 school children died by suicide because they could not score enough marks. This apparently shows the stress level among young children.

I believe that every problem has a solution, if taken into serious consideration. Primarily, individual efforts are required to come out of the stress cage. In simpler words, people should work on themselves for their all-round well-being. They can join health-improving institutions, like gyms, meditation centres, and many more. The government should also formulate necessary policies regarding the overall development of health. A proper research should be done on the Happiness Index to improve the happy living.

To summarise, there is no doubt that stress has seemingly increased in today’s world. The facts of extreme usage of technology, academic and work -pressure takes a toll on individual’s mental and physical health. However, these could be reduced by taking preventive measures, including, self-awareness, doing exercise and meditation. The policymakers should work on laws regarding health and happiness.
