Band 5+: Major cities in the world are growing fast, as well as their problems. What are the problems that young people living in those cities are facing?Suggest some solutions

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In light of industrialization, most of the urban areas are rapidly developing, thus, increasingly young people settle there. This essay will shed light on the issues that they have to face before suggesting some solutions.

Firstly, with the rapid thriving of the cities, young people have a possibility to deal with unemployment as well as budgetary burden. To begin with, with the booming population in urban areas, young people increasingly seek greater opportunities, higher remuneration and better life, leading to fierce competition for the limited positions. Secondly, the high cost of living, coupled with the loans, tuition fees create a significant financial pressure on the youngsters, making it challenging to save money or make a useful investment, which could be fruitful in the long term. It is based on the fact that the housing price has significantly upstick around the world such as Singapore, HaNoi of Vietnam or New York in the USA, thus, many people cannot afford or cover the bills for a house in the metropolises.

To eradicate the aforementioned problems, governments should provide the allowance as well as skills training or programs. Firstly, by offering the financial perks to the youngsters who are living under the poverty line, the government should provide an aid or subsidy for low paid- job holders, for example a monthly allowance, supporting them in some aspect of their life such as health care, education. Secondly, by creating more programs teaching about interpersonal skills, professional working environment, young job holders could have more chances to broaden their horizons, thus diminishing their jobless rate to get into big companies in the urban areas.

In conclusion, urban areas have a detrimental impact on young people, especially in finance and joblessness. To address them, two avenues-allowance and programs- have been explored.
