In recent years, technology has been playing a major role in the youth. Recently, numerous adults are spending their leisure time playing computer games. I will mention some reasons behind this notion with related examples in the following essay, and I think that it is a negative development.
To begin with, several reasons can be put forth to support the idea that adults are playing online games more than ever. The predominant reason is that some of them have introverted personalities; as a result, they always prefer to spend their free time alone by on computers by playing video games. Not only this, but because of their hectic schedules, they often prefer to stay at home and play virtual games, as they can distress their minds easily. For example, my younger brother always plays car racing games on weekends in his leisure time rather than spending time with his friends as he thinks that playing games is more fun for him than meeting with friends.
However, this development has some demerits. The major drawback is that due to digital games, they are damaging their eyesight as well as it is affecting their academics and careers. To illustrate, in many nations, majority of the boys are unable to score high in their exams due to impulsive use of electronic games. In addition, another disadvantage is that adults do not spend quality time with their family members; therefore, they not able to manage their relationships with their loved ones.
To conclude, adults prefer to play computer games due to their personal qualities; but, it is impacting their personal and professional life. Furthermore, an excessive use of video games make people lazy and they suffer from various types of problems.
