In today’s rapidly evolving world, change has become a fundamental aspect of life. Whether driven by technological advancements, shifting social norms, or global challenges, these changes influence every corner of our lives. One such major change is the sudden population splurge in cities, on the contrary, the population in the countryside has reduced significantly. The primary reason for this is the belief that living a city life offers greater perks as compared to the countryside. I completely agree with this statement
Cities with rapidly developing facilities stand out as the ideal destination for people to get better opportunities. The quality of life in cities is much higher compared to the countryside, with well-established hotels, restaurants and malls. Cities offer high-quality education. Urban areas offer better facilities, amenities and infrastructure, making it a prime example of why people move from rural areas. Moreover, urban areas with their well-developed hospitals and healthcare facilities prove to be suitable place for people, to get their health checked. Subsequently, urban areas offer various job opportunities to help people get employed, additionally, cities offer a much more promising salary as compared to rural areas.
On the other hand, there are some disadvantages associated with living in cities. Firstly, life in urban areas is very hectic, with almost no time to spare for oneself. People who prefer to live a serene lifestyle may find it difficult to adapt here. Secondly, with the sudden increase in population, the competition in all aspects, be it job or education, has increased tremendously. It becomes very challenging to obtain a job with little to no skill set. Thirdly, the average cost of living in cities is much higher compared to the countryside.
Despite having some drawbacks, cities stand out as a place with much more perks. It is quite evident that due to the numerous benefits offered in cities, people tend to move to urban areas to avail the higher quality of life.
