These days, some cities prefer cars than bicycles, whereas some other cities prefer bicycles rather than cars. The main reasons are that cars are comfortable for long trips and for some several reasons. While bicycles are comfortable especially in traffic congestion and for cities which located on the water. In my opinion, bicycles are better, since its affordable and healthier.
On the one hand, vehicles are versatile in many cases especially for long distances and bad weather. If people travel from one city to another city with their family, it would be less stressful and difficult. Children need more space for convenience, in order to become accustomed since the long trips may be unusual. At least, children do not cry and parents can travel without worrying or losing their minds.Another reason is that some cities may have poor infrastructure for transportation in order to transport. A historical cities on the water have cramped roads which has a long story. For instance, Venice was established a very long time ago, before transportation existed. Therefore, visitors whose came in the car, they leave their vehicles in a special park at the entrance to the island and continue on foot or by boat.
On the other hand, bicycles have a lot of benefits especially in traffic congestion, providing less stressful travel to designated place. While private car and public transportation can get stuck in traffic jams for a long time, bicycles can keep moving without being affected by congestion. In addition, riding bicycles more healthy for mental health than cars. For example, one person who suffer from obesity, can lose weight with riding a bicycle every day. Another reason is that purchasing bicycle costs more cheaper than vehicles. A bicycle can be used for a long period with minimal maintenance, whereas cars generally require more frequent repairs and servicing. Moreover, bicycles do not require petrol or diesel, which can be quite expensive nowadays. As a result, people can significantly reduce their daily transportation expenses.
In conclusion, bicycles are a more affordable and accessible option for everyday travel, while cars remain preferable for long-distance journeys and in adverse weather conditions.
