Nowadays, tourism plays a major role in many developing countries. Governments see it as a key part of economic growth. I agree that tourism brings several benefits, but it can also cause some negative effects on life for these countries.
Firstly, tourism assist to countries earn money and generate new jobs. For example, local people can work in hotels, restaurants, and travel companies, which its improves their living standards and reduces unemployment. In addition, the income from tourism allows the government to build better roads, airports, and hospitals. Therefore, tourism is an important source of development for many poor countries.
However, putting too much importance on tourism and making it main way of earning money can be risky for whole country . The economy becomes dependent on visitors, so if tourism drops, people lose their main source of income. Also, tourists can damage nature and local culture. For instance, some famous places become crowded and polluted and they might wear inanpropriate clothes in religious places or behave loudly in public areas. So, focusing only on tourism may not be sustainable for the future and for its citizens
In conclusion, tourism is useful for developing countries because it brings money and jobs. Yet, it should not be the only focus, since it also has negative environmental for society and cultural impacts. A balanced approach is the best solution.
