Band 6+: Many graduates nowadays are finding it difficult to get a job. Why do you think this is? How can this problem be solved?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In today’s society, many students after graduation, have considered that it is challenging to find a position of employment. In the following essay, I will discuss both the causes and also the solutions that contributed to this trend

First and foremost, insufficient practical experience is one reason why graduates often face difficulties in finding a job. In this society, many educational institutions are mainly focused on theoretical knowledge rather than real-life skills and experiences. For example, most companies require candidates with hands-on experience and relevant skills, which many students lack. This may make it more challenging for the students to meet the demand which causes an increase in the unemployment rate.

In addition, the challenges that many graduates face in job hunting are also caused by the competitive job market. There are millions of graduates from various universities. However, job vacancies are inadequate compared to the rising number of job seekers. This disparity might lead to a more competitive environment when applying for the same positions, which significantly decreases the opportunities to get a job.

To alleviate this problem, there are some remarkable ways that can be implemented. Firstly, universities should create programs, events and chances for skills enhancing. For instance, colleges can provide workshops that are related to their ideal career. Furthermore, another solution is to strengthen the partnership between universities and enterprise, companies. As a consequence, this might help learners to be more well-prepared and can easily adapt to the new environment.

In conclusion, the graduates’ hardship in seeking for jobs are mainly stems from the lack of experience and fierce competition. However, there are still suitable methods such as providing suitable activities and increasing cooperations with industries.
