There is a widely held belief that consuming junk food can have detrimental effects on human health and this phenomenon has become prevalent amongst young generations. This essay partially agrees with this viewpoint because, although it is undeniable that this eating habit brings some negative implications such as causing some illnesses, there are other significant factors contribute to this phenomenon.
To begin with, junk foods such as pizza, hot dog and hamburger contain a lot of fat and sugar, which can lead to various disorders. More especially, fat and sugar are the most significant factors to cause obesity. Additionally, processed food can cause heart condition and blood pressure, as well as allergies, due to theirs ingredients. For example, a recent study from world health organization has shown that a huge number of spices in fast food have made many allergetic disorders in youngsters.
However, there are other factors that threaten human physical well-being, such as inadequate exercise, drinking too much alcohol and smoking. Studies have shown that smoking is the most detrimental factor to undermine human’s physical well- being and unfortunately, these dangerous habits have become much more prevalent amongst young generation. For example, in my extended family, my uncle rarely consumed fast food, but he drink and smoking continually for 10 years and eventually he died because of lung cancer.
In conclusion, these unhealthy eating habits have become much more common in youngsters.
