Some individuals hold the opinion that the benefits of tourism overbalance the problems it creates in a tourist area. While some argue that profits of tourism overweight the the problems it makes in consequences.in my point if view the benefits of tourism far outweigh its drawbacks, this essay will first discuss about the benefits it keeps bringing and then examine the problem of tourism .
On the one hand, the reason that tourism brings , is that it makes enormous profits for the local economy. Moreover local authorities have been able to attract foreign visitors to their infrastructure. This means they tend to build more skyscrapers and other facilities. For instance, the authorities of Beijing have built more buildings , shopping centers and other facilities to support their own development. Where foreigners can buy anything from the local shops or restaurants, so they can get the best comfortable experience.
Another reason is that new commercial buildings such as shopping malls or restaurants brings a lot of profit to tourist attractions . This means that many people have the opportunity to apply for jobs. Job seekers are often asked if there is an interest for them as employees. So it allows them to try to make money. As an example, 10% percent of people are supported by the tourism sector.
On the other hand , another important point is that since the local economy improves , it makes downsides to local people . The costs for living are rising , this happens because prices tend to be aimed for tourists , and as a result is that the local people have to suffer with that .For instance Paris is becoming increasingly common tourist sight area , and popular destinations namely Louver and Eiffel Tower are overpriced . This leads to costs for living are high and local people’s lives being a lot more expensive than other places that are not tourist oriented . Overall it is clear that there are a number of consequences for local people.
To sum up , both sides have strong arguments , however the benefits prevail over the lack of support for the other arguments. It seems to me that this tendency is likely to be more positive than adverse effects.
