Unlike in the past, when shopping centers were primarily used to purchase essential goods, today the majority use shopping malls as spaces for gatherings and leisure activities. Unfortunately, this problem can cause particular negative effects, but the situation can be solved once certain solutions are applied.
On the one hand, a number of further difficulties may arise in light of the given disturbing situation. Although malls contain several amenities like restaurants, cinema and etc. can appropriate for social gatherings, they are designed to encourage people to spend more than they need. Moreover, many young people prefer spend time in malls instead of outdoor activities. This reduces physical activity and causes health problems. For example, prevalence of obesity increased among young generations due to less physical activities.
Nevertheless, despite the likelihood of the above given problems, it is highly possible to address the given negative tendency. For instance, schools or educational platforms can teach young people how to manage their money and local communities can organize public events, sport programs to offer healthier leisure alternatives.
In conclusion, in spite of spend time mostly in shopping centers causing certain negative impacts, it is highly possible to address the given negative tendency via educational platforms, public events, sport programs and so on.
