Band 7+: Many people consider shopping malls as a great places to spend their lesiure time and meet other people. In the past however visiting shopping malls only when necessry To what extend do you agree it its a negative trend

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, the majority of humans believe that going to places such as shopping malls are ideal for spending their free time and hanging out with others. On the other hand, individuals in the past limited shopping malls to purchasing goods that they deemed necessary. Personally speaking, I believe this trend to have extremely negative consequences on society and individuals for reasons I will discuss in this essay.

First and foremost, individuals who spend a lot of time at shopping centers are likely to spend too much time indoors instead of being outside in the fresh air. For example, many of these buildings have few windows that allow sunlight, and depend on artificial light sources to provide visibility. As a result, these people lack healthy nutrients that they would get from spending in the sun. Furthermore, one must consider the negative consequences it will have on their financial situation, as many clothing items are extremely expensive in comparison to the past. For instance, certain individuals may neglect other financial responsibilities such as utility bills or rent in order to make these purchases. This leaves them in a poor situation, and can even wipe out their hard earned lifelong savings.

In addition to this, keeping up with the latest fashion trends can cause immense levels of stress and anxiety for the average human. These trends are changing at incredible speed, and individuals trying to keep up with them are going to need to earn higher salaries to make these purchases. This could lead to them neglecting family members and other obligations, to work more, in order to make these purchases. Of course, these changes will have repercussions for their mental well being.

In conclusion, this trend is growing at an alarming rate, and is even becoming addictive to the younger generations. The negative impact it can have on individuals is unique, and therefore one must seriously consider reaching out to others for help, so that they avoid experiencing these consequences. Overall, I believe there are more ideal places to spend leisure time, where one can gain plenty
