Many people argue that being busy but having a higher income is better than having more leisure time but earning less money, I disagree with the statement that it is better to have more money and less free time. I believe that having more free time is more important than having more money.
The first justification for my disagreement is that there are many essential needs that money cannot buy such as good health, strong relationships and meaningful experiences. It is true that when people have a better work-life balance and more free time, at least their mental health improves significantly, thereby enhancing their work efficiency. In addition, this is also the time when people can take advantage of exercises to boost their physical health. Furthermore, spending more time on relationships, especially family, is also extremely important. For instance, children who are nurtured by parents who know how to balance life and work often have more opportunities to develop comprehensively than the others whose parents only bury themselves in work.
Another reason I disagree with this point of view is that having more free time allows people to pursue their passions and interests. This can lead to a more fulfilling and meaningful life. For example, a person who loves to travel cannot fulfill their passion if they have to work constantly with too little rest time. If they had more free time, they could realize their dreams and spend time exploring, experiencing and enjoying their lives.
In conclusion, I believe that having more free time is more important than having more money. Money cannot buy happiness or fulfillment, and it can actually lead to stress and anxiety if it is not managed wisely. Free time, on the other hand, allows people to pursue their passions, spend time with loved ones, and simply enjoy life.
