Many people believe that the goal of the education system is primarily to turn young kids into good workers and citizens. Other than helping them individually. I disagree with this statement.
Schooling helps students decide what direction they want to take in life. By offering a wide range of subjects and activities. Whether it’s academic subjects like math and science, or sports activities such as football and basketball. This helps the children find their passion early on by trying different experiences. For instance, a young student who enjoys solving problems or experimenting with chemical reactions alongside painting or sculpting can figure out what his passion is and continue following it.
In addition to that, going to school helps in developing communication skills and self-esteem.
Interacting with other students and teachers, as well as getting exposed to different ideas, will improve the ability to communicate and explain ideas to others. For example, if a kid faces a problem while in school, he will communicate it to the teacher or his friends and learn how to take feedback. This will build confidence and the ability to think differently.
In conclusion, criticizing the school without looking at the full picture can be unfair, and the reason I disagree with people’s opinion on the educational system is the fact that we can clearly see the significant role that the school plays in elevating kids’ communication skills and problem-solving, and giving them the chance to try and find what they enjoy the most, so they can maybe make it a profession.
