The advantages are reducing the physical burden from students and making education more joyful. On the other hand, the disadvantages are that parents may not afford the appropriate devices to attend online classes and students may miss their classes. Moreover, the internet may cut off suddenly and that will cause a delay for both teachers and students.
Many schools shifted to online classes, and parents are worried that this trend could affect their children. There are good and bad sides for this trend, one of these advantages is the elimination of the need of transportation. If classes become online, students won’t use cars or buses and that will reduce the physical burden from many parents. In addition, Online education is more enjoyable and playful than physical classes, teachers can use video games or mini games while delivering online classes. Therefore, children won’t feel that school is boring and that will enhance their academic levels.
The disadvantages are that many parents will struggle to find a suitable device for their kids, computers and tablets are skyrocketing nowadays. Besides affording the devices, the internet may stop while giving online classes and that could result in many problems for teachers and children, such as delays in school schedule and a decrease in academic levels because there are no classes to give.
In conclusion, online education could impove the academic levels of students by making classes enjoyable and decreasing the need for transportation. However, it also could decrease the academic performance due to poor internet connections and device availability.
