Nowadays, smartphones have become an important part of our daily lives. While mobile phones offer several benefits, they also have disadvantages along with its advantages.Personally,I think it has more demerits than merits.

On the one hand, there are some advantages of using mobile phones. To begin with, they have revolutionized the way we communicate. For example,we can stay in touch with our family, friends and collegues wherever we are,and they are useful in emergencies. They could even save our life due to allowing us to contact the police and fire department.Secondly, they are powerful learning tool.Because of the applications put in smart phones these days, children and even adults will learn a lot of things from them.Additionally, they are equipped with high resolution cameras. With these devices, you always have your camera available, being able to take high-quality photos any time you want.

On the other hand, there are more disadvantages of cell phones.Firstly, they could be a dangerous disteraction in some cases. For example, using a cell phone while driving reduces the driver’s concentration,or texting has already caused millions of deaths from traffic accidents.Secondly,it leads to addiction as many people have already become too dependent on them.We are addicted to our phones, and the idea of leaving them at home or turning off would give us instant anxiety. Moreover, using mobile phones to cheat in exams is turned into a big issue in many schools.Students are now able to text answers under their desks during lessons and sometimes even find the answers using a search engine on their phones.

In conclusion, while in some ways smart phones could be useful,I believe that they can be harmful for us and cause problems in many cases.
