Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, technology has made it easier for people to download fee-based pieces of art from the Internet for free. People want to use all the best and relevant. To make some profit from released products, companies sell their services for money or they give access to amenities for monthly payment – subscriptions. Sometimes people cannot afford paying fpr monthly subscriptions or games, and they download them from third-party resources. It is a good way for people to use what they want , but creators lose progit from something, they had really worked on.

Piracy is very spread among people, who do not want pay money for products. Humans do not affraid of law, because their download of cracked programs could not be detected. Today , millions of files are hacked and released for free on the Internet. Lot of people, like poor people or children use them to satisfy themselves. Often, prices for games or other services is expensive, but their presence in individuals’ everyday life is very important. That is the reason why some products of big corporations are available on the Internet, for example Spotify , Microsoft Office and some popular games. People choose to download them rather than pay to use these products.

However, creators, corporations are losing a lot of money from piracy. Economists had estimated this lose – it is rated 74 billion dollars annually. It is a huge number – many people are working in industry , creating something new, but their labor devalued by hackers. Cybersecurity specialists are working on protection of products. A lot of improvements has been done, for example, many new games are uncrackable today. Countries’ law is protecting creators as well – piracy is restricted in many countries, like Germany or the USA.

In conclusion, piracy is one of the most unethical actions on the Internet. Sadly, it is unreal to fully ban it, because of the piracy’s huge traffic and the number of hackers. Nevertheless, it is positive development for people without money , but it damages creators a lot.
