Several social media platforms such as Facebook, Instragram, and Twitter openly advertise animal rights activity movement showing how animals are only breaded for its meat, and also displaying the harsh reality of animal slaughter house, which discourage a large number people to eat such products. Moreover, they also promote the health benefits from eating vegetarian food, and as a result, people are shifting their eating behaviour mainly on vegetables and other vegan options.
On the other hand, this shift on consuming agricultural products causes individual to have lack of essential nutrient such as protein, which is mainly found on meat. This might affect the overall body functioning and hence pressurise people to choose options to eat protein tablets. Furthermore, when a large number of people eat vegetarian food, demand on agricultural product rises rapidly, causing intense pressure for farmers to produce offseason foods. Producing such foods has a huge impact on environment, as it involves greenhouse effects.
In conclusion, it is true that people become aware from social media regarding the animal right and benefits of eating vegan food. However, this causes mass production impacting environment as a whole.
