It is a common belief that staring at the screen is detrimental to health. According to a Californian study, kids subjected to television are more prone to myopia and develop migraine. This study was backed by the New Jersey researchers team. When playing video games, often students become addictive and their attention span decreases as they grow impatient. As a consequence, they performed poorly in academic assessments and earned bad grades. Although such hobbies have disadvantages but on a positive note, playing virtual games taught them to endure till the last level of a game. This is an important skill that is required to complete a tedious task. So, watching TV might not be beneficial but playing PC or mobile games ain’t that bad.

Firstly, we can acquire the desired information anywhere and anytime without spending an ounce. Secondly, one can listen to podcasts and TED talks where eminent personalities share their life experiences. Thirdly, PhD candidates working on their thesis can refer to multiple journals and review articles for writing a paper. It saves time and they can invest more on reading other resources. On the other hand, downside of a plethora of undesired information can lead to distraction and the individual may spend more than enough on a website instead of dedicating their quality time towards their work.
