In this day and age, a number of Vietnamese youngsters celebrate festivals that consist of Christmas and Halloween. Besides that, several individuals deem there is no problem with this. However, other people feel that the influence of foreign cultures affects them; it makes them anxious. From my perspective, I strongly believe that we need to enhance our traditional culture more than those other cultures because it can negatively impact young people in Vietnam and lose our culture.
Firstly, they still have some benefits when we exchange the culture of Vietnam with that of other countries. For instance, exchange cultures to know a new culture and learn a new thing, and cooperation to develop between countries, etc. In addition, Vietnamese youth can easily access many cultures and can meet foreign friends who come from lots of countries. Moreover, countries could rely on cultural exchange to support together, like in finance, commerce, and many industries, to develop their country.
On the one hand, we were too dependent upon cultural exchange and had some traditional cultures that it lost. Because of this reason, a growing number of youth were steadily oblivious to the value of the traditional culture of Vietnam. Other young individuals have tended to follow a new culture, like coming to a new place, because it is interesting. Therefore, this is a problem that is very serious, so we have to have solutions.
Finally, each other’s countries have to popularize the values of their culture for citizens to know that traditional culture still needs to prevent and preserve the culture from fresh things. People can celebrate festivals about their tradition to not lose them.
To sum up, the valuable and traditional culture needs youngsters to conserve and preserve those for posterity. Celebrating events and traditional festivals in order to diffuse the ethos of Vietnam so people know that and don’t mislay them.
