These day, people spend more and more money on technological equipment such as smartphones or tablets. Although this phenomenon has some drawbacks, i believe that it is still a positive development overall.
It is understandable why technology devices are increasingly expensive, which negatively affects many things. Firstly, it prevents the access of technology equipment to low-income people. For instance, many charity communities are donated a lot of equipment such as computers or smartphones for the need children during the Covid-19 distancing. This is because the highland children need devices to take part in a virtual classroom. Furthermore, this situation leads environmental pollution. The reason is because the production of technology devices can release a large amount of emissions which impact on the environment.
On the other hand, the high price of the device also has great benefits. To begin with, increasing prices often come with better product quality. For example, smartphones are made of titanium and carbon to increase the product’s impact resistance. As a result, the production of electronic devices is becoming more and more focused on durability and quality product. Secondly, high-cost devices often have better efficiency. This is because the consumer demands are different as the devices are equipped with powerful chips to serve heavy tasks such as IT or design.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that this phenomenon is a positive development because of several reasons such as better product quality and performance matches consumer needs.
