Band 5+: Parents are putting a lot of pressure on their children to succeed. What are the reasons? Is this a negative or positive development

Nowadays, children pressure from their parents to excel academically, socially, and extracurricular activities. There are two main reasons for this and explain why it is a negative development for kids.

To begin with, there are two main reasons why parents place considerable pressure on their children to succeed. Firstly, stemming from increased parental pressure want to their kids, who achieve a good achievement and secure a bright future. Therefore, they always look for many resources to register many extra class including cram schools, art school, soft skill and push children to do excel in their studies. Furthermore, social expectation and comparison with peers may be also exert huge pressure on children. There are reasons why parents depend on children’s achievement.

However, while parents may have good intentions in putting a lot of pressure on their children, this approach can have serveral negative consequences. Excessive pressure can lead to high level of stress, anxiety, depression in children, affecting to their mental health and well-being body and creating feelings of resentment of children from studying. The second impact pressure from continous efforts to excel, this can obstacle children’s study motivation and explore many exciting things from the world. Therefore, kids can loss a beautiful childhood that every childs should have. For example, a kid live with parents together, who force them study too much. This may be make them feel their spirit tired and distressed with the studies so they can reduce effectiveness and productivity when learning can lead to low grades and tarnish academic records.

In conclusion, it is understandable that parents expect more from their children in terms of personal success. However, many should reconsider the negative development of this trend, as it has tremendous effects on personally and professional growth.
