In recent days, the vast majority of people make their choice in favor of the living in urban areas. It leads to experience of different issues, such as traffic jams, various types of pollution, unemployment and health problems. In this essay, I will discuss the main obstacles of human being in megacities and possible regulations provided by a government.
First of all, megalopolises are distinguished by a huge population, so, necessary conditions for a high-quality life should be provided. As a consequence, citizens start to encounter with different problems. For example, due to well-developed transport system, urban areas have access of vehicles like cars, buses or underground. Additionally, such factor as need for ability to commute to work or other places leads to congestion on roads. That is also insecure because of road accidents. Another issue is noise pollution. As the number in area is high, some activities may be done in late evenings. Hence, there is permanent background noise. It has negative effect on human health by extra production of stress hormones, absent of quality sleep and disruption of work of immune system.
One of the possible solutions could be stimulation of migration to rural areas. It may be beneficial for people suffering from city life. In most cases, countryside provides almost all conditions necessary for accommodation. Problems like “rush hour” can be avoided due to smaller area of region. As a result, means of transport do not represent in negative perspective. Moreover, health problems are less common If people’s lives begin to be more moderate.
In conclusion, living in urban area means overcoming different challenges. Politics made by a government may cause dissatisfaction and grievances from citizens. Therefore, these reforms must be integrated very carefully, otherwise, state power will face with protests.
