Band 7+: People naturally resist making changes in their lives. What kinds of problems can this cause? What solutions can you suggest?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Men and women are inherently reluctant to change their routines. As a result, they may struggle to develop themselves and keep up with the time. However, encouraging innovation, and ensuring their safety are the most viable solutions to alleviate the situation.

The first problem related to the issue is that individuals cannot progress themselves unless they forsake their habits. This is because stepping out of their comfort zone and facing unfamiliar situations always makes people more resilient and versatile. Another inevitable consequence of the issue is that individuals cannot keep pace with recent developments, and therefore, they cannot compete with other people at work. That is to say, people, who are skeptical of innovation, always stay behind those who are eager to change. For example, employees, who use artificial intelligence in their work, sort out their duties more accurately and quickly. Hence, they become advantageous towards their colleagues.

The first effective solution to handle the issue is fostering people to change. In other words, people can set aside their strict routines and accept changes if they are motivated by somebody they trust because everybody has a willingness to change but they cannot manage it without encouragement. Another practical remedy for the situation is that if individuals are convinced about their safety they become more willing to change. It is a result of the fact that most people believe that they can lose their havings or comfort if they change their preferences. Therefore, if they know that they will continue to stay safe even if they change their usual patterns, they are more likely to forsake their habits. For instance, drivers are more prone to use some routes out of their habits when they are guided by the Google Maps application.

In conclusion, as a consequence of stubbornness towards changes, individuals cannot progress and find themselves in a disadvantageous position at work; however, these results can be stemmed by motivating these people and eliminating their safety concerns.

Fatherhood ought to be emphasized as much as motherhood. The idea that women are solely responsible for deciding whether or not to the babies leads on to the idea that they are also responsible for bringing the children up. To what extend do you agree or disagree?

Parenting and nurturing children seem to be demanding responsibilities that require considerable effort, time and commitment. However, some people argue that fathers should be actively involved in caring for their children rather than leaving the responsibility of raising them to mothers alone. I largely agree that parenting should be a joint responsibility because the involvement […]

Nowadays, more and more people are choosing to live alone, especially in large cities. Why is this the case? Is it a positive or negative development?

An increasing number of individuals are opting to live alone in many cities. The possible drives for this trend can be their personal preferences and employment opportunities that cities offer. Some argue that individuals should be responsible for maintaining health and diet, while others contend that governments should take measures to promote healthy diets among their citizens.

While some people believe that the health of the citizens is the responsibility of public authorities, a large number of people argue that everyone should be free to live their own lives with their choices of health that they think to be better. From my perspective, both statements are partly right, mainly in the countries […]

Whether authorities should enhance the sustainability of current cities or build new ones has sparked considerable debate. While it is important to make existing urban areas more livable, I believe that constructing new cities takes precedence. On the one hand, public services and infrastructure are not well-developed in many contemporary cities. For instance, poorly accessible […]

Some think this trend benefits both employees and employers, while others believe it leads to a lack of social cohesion and decreased productivity. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

The trend of working from home, with most people choosing it over a traditional office setting, has become a subject of debate. Although this change offers some advantages, it also raises concerns about efficiency, and whether it proves beneficial largely depends on the type of job and the person. Working remotely or partially remotely saves […]
