A host of individuals subscribe to the notion that focusing on merely one skill is the best way to achieve success. From my standpoint, I totally side with that position for several reasons provided below.
The first and foremost justification is that orienting yourself towards a specific skill. This can be attributed to the fact that you can dedicate ample time to it, which is your forte. As a result, it helps you easily make achievements rather than choosing a skill that does not align with your abilities and strengths. A prime example is when we look at Albert Einstein’s childhood; we can see that he was just good at in the Math and bad at other subjects. Therefore, he was called stupid by his classmates. And if he had not focused on his skill which he had talent was math, instead of art or music, would he have been a brilliant scholar?
Another rationale worth mentioning could be that focus is of utmost significance. To be more specific, when you concentrate on one thing and one thing only with your passion, the efficiency is at its peak. In contrast,if you split your focus between two tasks, the effectiveness of each diminishes. Hence, constantly focusing your time and energy on one thing only, you will reach your goal perfectly. Beethoven is an example for; although he was deaf in his last years, it could not prevent him from composing his symphony No. 8, No. 9 or Grosse Fuge. These works stand out above all because at that time, he allowed himself to wholeheartedly concentrate on one thing, that is composing without performing and conducting an orchestra.
In conclusion, although honing numerous skills such as communication, computer, and problem-solving skills is crucial to land a job these days, for the aforementioned arguments, I opine that focusing on a forte skill is a key leading to success in life.
