These days, artists are highly revered by society regardless of the era of science and technology. There could be various reasons why this is the case. I am also convinced that art is as significant as science and technology.
There are several purposes why people valued artists in today’s world. From my personal perspective, it can be argued that, having a sensitive soul, some individuals can easily be affected by artists’ creations, which means there are still some people that their surroundings give them a sense of glee or sorrow. Thus, helping them to express themselves. On a scientific level, those who appreciate art work have an activated right brain side like left-handed people, and there are many of them in this era, particularly among artists.
It is my view that, art should be given as much importance as innovation and automation. That is to say, in today’s age, arts such as music, writing, painting and so on can be useful enough, like other subjects. Without such works, life would be uninspiring and monotonous. Many Iranian students, for instance, have reported experiencing boring years of study, as they avoid to pass art courses. Moreover, although truth is proven with science, it is illustrated by art. In other words, a basic conception of science is needed to excel in technology like computer program. As a result, upon expressing creativity through are, artists must be respected.
In conclusion, even though we live in an automation period, artists for many causes are appreciated by some individuals because they are influenced by art, and in my perspective, art carries the same significance as other subjects, in particular science and automation due to its power to describe facts which are discovered with science and its capacity to relax humans’ mind.
