At current time, fast food cafes are using too much plastic dishes and bags than ever before. For example, The Government Statistics Agency made an official announcement that, Mc. Donald’s restaurant chain produced 10 tons of plastic litters in 2023.
One of the ways to solve the problem is that restaurants should provide food in perishable covering to customers who wants to take the food away. In fact, a great number food places have delivery service, so it is important to keep the food hot and fresh until it is delivered the destination. As a consequence manufacturers frequently use plastic containers. If they serve their environmentally friendly dishes to their clients, there will not be piles of plastic debris throughout the world and also it will be easy to decay under the ground. For instance, experiments conducted plastic plates by “Nature protection organization”, showed that plastic dish required 1000 year period to rot absolutely.
All in all, over using plastic materials in food industry is the main cause of plastic contamination, to solve the problem one has to enhance using perishable vessels.
