I believe I should be the next ASTCC Executive Member because I genuinely want to become more involved on campus and help support the student community. I care about making students feel welcomed, included, and heard. I know that being an executive member is not just about having a leadership title. It is about being responsible, listening to others, showing up when needed, and doing the work to help improve the campus experience for students.
One reason I believe I would be a good fit is because I am willing to listen and learn. I understand that every student has a different experience, background, and point of view. Some students may feel comfortable speaking up, while others may not know where to share their concerns or ideas. If I am selected, I want to be someone students can feel comfortable talking to. I want to help bring student voices forward and make sure their opinions are respected.
I also believe this position would help me grow as a leader. I will be honest: I may not know everything right away, but I am hardworking, dependable, and open-minded. I am willing to ask questions, learn from other members, and improve throughout the role. I believe a good leader does not have to be perfect. A good leader should be honest, respectful, responsible, and willing to keep learning.
As an ASTCC Executive Member, I would do my best to support events, student activities, and decisions that help students feel more connected to campus. I know college can sometimes feel stressful or overwhelming, so having a strong student government can make a difference. I want to be part of creating a positive environment where students feel supported both academically and socially.
Overall, I believe I should be the next ASTCC Executive Member because I care about students, I am motivated to serve, and I am ready to take this opportunity seriously. I would bring honesty, effort, teamwork, and a positive attitude to this position. If selected, I would do my best to represent students well and continue growing into a stronger leader.
