Mass transportation is a great way to travel, especially within a metropolitan area. It is thought that the metro is the most convenient way to get around a city. I agree with this opinion, and this essay will provide several reasons for my argument.
Firstly, the metro is safe for users. This is due to the fact that before going to the metro, travellers have to be checked by gatekeepers and metal doors, which can detect some weapons, such as knives or guns. Another the reason is that the appearance of guards and cameras throughout the metro can prevent lawbreakers from committing crimes and ensure the safety of users. This can minimise the risk of crimes, such as pickpoketing and harassment
Another reason for this is its impact on the environment. Unlike cars or traditional diesel buses, which can release toxic gases and emissions, the metro runs on electricity and can transport a lot of commuters simultaneously. In the long term, this can decline the amount of emissions and play a vital role in protecting the environment. Moreover, the metro can run on severe weathers. For instance, it can run on instead of stoping during blizzard, hurricane or cyclone. As a result, passengers can reach the destination on time without any weather distruption.
In conclusion, I believe that the most convenient way to get around a city is going on the metro, due to its safety and impact on the environment. From my perspective, I think that the government should allocate more money expanding metro networks to build more convenient cities.
