In recent decades, a violent crime has been an ongoing debated topic. Most of the psychologists show that social and emotional learning should be taught by both parents and teachers. I strongly believe that a lack of social and emotional learning lead to violent crime among youngsters.
First of all, nowadays, there are an increasing number of youth crime. The main reason is mobile phones. Most of the parents should go to work, it brings about a lack of time. This results, playing with mobile phones in free times. There are countless harmful videos on social media, namely violent crime. Apart from mobile phones, TV also affects children negatively. They sometimes watch violent films. In additionally, parents cannot follow their mobile phones due to limited time. In consequently, these videos result in subsequent number of crimes at young ages. Without guidance, children may imitate watch such types of videos and films.
Another significant reason is that a lack of education results crimes. Students should be educated about empathy, responsibility, and consequences of actions. Students are not aware of possible punishments and violent crime attracts them. If young people know possible effects, they would avoid a violent crime. Therefore, all of these factors should be taught at schools. By learning them at young ages, students less engage in crimes.
In conclusion, I believe that the lack of education and social and emotional learning from both parents and teachers is a major factor contributing to youth crime. Therefore, not only parents but also teachers should take some measures to guide young people.
