Band 5+: Research has shown that the transportation of products and people is the main source of pollution. Some people believe the government should be in charge of this, while others believe that it is the fault of individuals. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Over the last few years, the question of whether the main reason for pollution involves human beings and transportation has become one of the most controversial ones in many parts of the world. While some people strongly support the opinion that the government should be responsible for reducing pollution, there are other people who think that every person should try themselves. From my personal point of view, the control of authority is a more suitable option.

On the one hand, it is commonly argued by some groups of people that increasing the number of regulations by the government might contribute to the reduction of pollution. The first argument that they bring in order to support their point of view is that by this initiative, they can motivate people to participate in various eco-volunteering projects in both offline and online. For example, these will help them to be environmentally friendly and also provide an opportunity to interact with others.

On the other hand, despite mentioned counter arguments, it is thought by others that apart from regulating, individuals should run awareness to dispose of pollution. They think this is true mainly due to the fact that this would affect not only the people’s treatment towards nature positively but also their understanding of the issue. For instance, most residents are unaware of the harm of excessive pollution to their health. Thus, it makes it clear that making people eco-friendly is likely to bring massive benefits as well. That is why, more rules should be introduced for humans.

In conclusion, although some people support the idea that regulations by the government can influence the lessening of contamination, I believe that the real benefits can be realized only through individuals.
