History is one of the main subjects being taught to the students, however, a number of people believe that students should have more time to study skills that can be beneficial in their career life after school. This essay supports this point of view, to reduce the gap between life before and after graduation, and to meet the high competition in the job market
Firstly, One of the primary reasons to teach pupils is to prepare them to meet the needs of job markets and elevate their career potential. This is to say, thousands of graduates find themselves facing challenges to find a satisfactory job, For example, the requirements asked by employers exceed their skills, because of the huge difference between their academic knowledge during 16 or 17 years and their professional skills. Therefore fostering the notion of integrating working in the educational process is a mandatory to make the students ready for the upcoming life.
Additionally, Large companies always looking for highly skilled employees which makes the job market highly competitive. To explain, graduates should have a good cv with experience to attract reputable corporates and to be promoted easily during their work. For instance, If a job applicant has high grades in subjects with no skills, and another one has the basic required skills but his results in conventional school subjects are lower, definitely the work vacancy would be in favour of the last one. This means that we should guide our students from an early age to their future careers by teaching them more skills
In conclusion, Although standard school subjects are important, professional qualifications should be introduced during school years to minimize the gap after graduation and prepare students to job market.
