Nowadays, it is well known that academic subjects are the main schools concern. However, it is thought that teaching skills should have a greater time share so as students are prepared for the labour market. In my opinion, both traditional subjects as well as skills should be equally cared for . Traditional skills are good preparation for university, meanwhile, skills will support finding job as early as needed.

Teaching traditional subjects is a must so that students can be ready to join the univeristies . Most of the families are looking forward to helping their children continuing their higher education that can ensure more prestigious social position. This can be highlighted from the attitude of the egyptian community for example where nearly all parents regardless of their financial or educational levels do support their children to be engaged in university.

On the other hand, the importance of learning different skills in schools can not be overemphasized, since it will give the opportunity for finding jobs even before the completion of the higher education. This is particularly important for low income families who need the financial support of every member as much earlier as they can.

Moreover, students who are not interested in their education anymore can have the chance to build themselves up and support their own lives by the skill they have learnt. For instance, in an egyptian city called Damietta, nearly all school children are well trained for all the woodworks which they have been famous for.

In conclusion, I do support the care for teaching both academic subjects beside skills in schools for students of different ages
