It is believed that science is more effective than human judgement in preventing crime. While science will provide a strong evidence of crime, human judgment is indispensable in understanding criminal psychology.
For several reasons, I believe that science contributes strongly in the investigation. Firstly, science provides reliable evidence for the investigators. Most of the forensic technologies such as ADN and big data enhance efficient analysis of information. However, scientific analysis has some limitation, it can not solve all issues. There are some cases which scientific evidence is not have enough obvious. As a consequence, it will affect to the results of investigation.
On the on hand, human judgement plays an indispensable role in preventing crime. Human provides deeper insights into the scene background. That is because they understand criminal psychology back to guess their behaivour. Although having deep understanding, they might be easy being influenced of subjective factors.
in conclusion, while scientific analysis is more crucial in modern investigation, human judgement can not be replaced. It is better to balance between science and human judgement to have better outcomes in preventing crimes
