Some individuals assume that all forms of advertisements ought to be entirely forbidden. I totally disagree with this opinion as advertisements provide customers with information about commodities. Furthermore, adverts contribute to competition and lower prices among companies.
One of the reasons why I disagree that advertisements should be banned is that they are the source of the information about a particular item. In most cases, all types of advertisements present general but important information about a product such as its functions, features, the availability and cost. With the help of it, even if, initially, individuals knew nothing about the item, after advertising customers get known details and may understand that they indeed need it. As a result, adverts serve as a source of information for customers, providing information about a product for customers who did not know about it.
Another reason why I believe that advertisements should not be prohibited is that they foster competition between companies. When companies compete not only does it improve the quality of their products, but also it leads to lower prices on their items. This is because companies try to create better advertisements to attract more customers. Thus, companies will always struggle to improve the quality of their goods and might lower their prices as they want consumers to buy their items, not ones from the competitors. Consequently, it leads to the creation of adverts that convey a bargain galore for customers, which helps them to save money, buying a quality item.
In conclusion, some people argue that all types of adverts should be completely banned. I disagree with this point of view due to advertisements presenting consumers essential information. Additionally, adverts lead to a competition among companies and they try to improve quality and low prices, giving an opportunity to customers to buy their products profitably.
