With our growing population that is happening, some argue that students should be trained more about practical skills rather than academic skills. One major issue that students face right now is they believe that whenever you’re good with academics everything will follow. However, not all cases like this can happen. There are tons of students who lack performance in their academic subjects but are highly intelligent about practicality.
In addition to that, focusing more on academics will help students perform better on whatever career path they would take in the future. It would introduce them on the knowledge that they are expected to have as professionals. However, in cases like students not knowing about being practical as early as young teens parents are known to push their children into their limits particularly in academics and extracurricular activities where life challenges are being ignored most of the time. In many research, they said that children often figure it out on their own because most of the parents didn’t see this as an issue when they grow up.
I firmly believe that school can be a place where students are taught on how to face real life challenges aside from other mathematical equation or science test that they have to solve for the rest of their lives. School can be the way to help and improve students on how they will face whatever life has to offer when they grow up.
