It is true that some people believe learning academic subjects are essential for students. However, others think that teaching real-life skills at schools should be made.
According to my personal point of view, both are crucial in life. On the one hand, everyone acknowledged that academic learning is the first step of student life, and they are required to learn these subjects for universities, cognitive abilities, and upcoming employments. For example, students are trying to get scholarships by learning academic lectures, and then make their life successful by fulfilling their dreams. Moreover, some companies and employers usually looking for degrees and diplomas to enter the workers life in most countries. On the other hand, schools should not be ignored to teach practical skills such as communications, survival skills, and professional and technical skills. It is the best way to learn these skills since the beginning of school routine, resulting in easy way to tackle the challenges in the future.
Students in developed countries are given lessons for real-life skills while poor nations or developing countries are mainly focus on academic. Nevertheless, there are several steps can be taken to balance these two approaches by schools. Firstly, teachers and professors should draw a timetable technically for avoiding outweigh the academic subjects. For instance, monthly activities, such as events and debates can be beneficial for them to improve their teamwork and public speaking. Furthermore, technology is more popular nowadays. Letting youngsters to use computers at school lead to professional in their near future. Secondly, governments should help the funds in providing computers and other medical appliances for reality.
In conclusion, only academic learning is not important for children, but also real-life survival experiences are also essential.
