The public concern has arisen that whether the organisations should allow their workers to work from home or they should work in the office. As far as my opinion is concerned, I tend to believe that establishments should opt for a hybrid way for the betterment of both employees and company.
To Commence with, work from home have many virtues. The primary amenity to take into consideration is that it brings flexibility of work to the employees. Consequently, they can easily perform their duties from the comfort of their home. More importanty, the remote work reduces expenses of transport and suppresses the environmental pollution as well. Apart from this, the can save a chunk of money if they allow remote work in terms of office electricity and all other noticeable expensive. It is generally blieved that they can use this money in other important tasks like investment and staff bonuses. For instance, during COVID-19 lockdown a company in Australia made 80% more profit because of their “work from home” policy. Hence, remote work should be encouraged by firms.
On the other hand, work in office have striking benefits as well. First of all, when the workers got chance to go to office regularly, they can communicate with their colleagues and can learn some skills from experts. If they are made to work from the confined space of their home , they will fall prey to anxiety and depression. To cite an example, an organisation in India had a policy of remote work and due to work stress and isolation a employee commited suicide.
On balance, I assert that the companies should make a hybrid schedule according to which some days of week should be dedicated for online work while some for work in office.
