In this competitive world with a high population, there is a great demand for an increase in production in many sectors. Despite employees’ health and mental conditions, companies are focusing more on their profits. Some countries have introduced laws to limit the working hours for workers.
Many organizations and companies believe that longer working hours lead to higher productivity. This accelerates work completion, allowing multiple projects to be finished in less time, contributing to the development of the country and the company.
However, longer working hours have a negative impact on the physical and mental well-being of employees. Heavy work schedules have led to major health issues for many individuals and often do not yield efficient results. Consequently, some countries have enacted laws to restrict employee working hours. It is recommended to divide workload between two employees instead of burdening one person with excessive hours, thereby creating more job opportunities.
In my view, implementing laws to reduce working hours is a positive step taken by countries. It promotes both national development and a healthier work-life balance for employees. When individuals work within reasonable hours that their brains can manage, they tend to deliver better results. If the workload requires more hours, it is beneficial to assign it to two people, creating employment opportunities for the jobless and contributing to the nation’s growth.
