It is often argued that banning fast food should be implemented because of its negative impacts on various aspects of life. In my opinion, though this can be true, the advantages of fast food cannot be overstated.
On one hand, fast foods affect individual health, leading to different kinds of diseases because there do not contain enough nutrients for a body’s needs. People eating fast food constantly gain weight gradually, which increases the chance of suffering from high blood pressure, high blood fat, and heart attacks. For example, if these kinds of food are consume massively by people in a society, obesity will be prevelant. Obese people usually are perceive as laid-back, so it affect one’s image in a community and lowers the chances to be successful. As a result, passing laws about fast foods poses its own positive impacts and prevents unwanted consequences.
On the other hand, fast foods do not take much time to prepare. Employees and staff ,working 12 hours a day, cannot allocate much time to cooking, so fast food is a fantastic option for some of weekdays to focus more on their jobs. Additionally, prohibition has never been a sufficient policy, the government can raise awareness about the drawbacks of excessive fast food consumption. The freedom of choice should never be taken away from people because it is unfair.
In conclusion, those in favor of banning fast foods make legitimate arguments though food foods has their own perks , requiring less time to make them, and people should have the power to choose whatever they want to eat.
