Expanding road infrastructure can increase road capacity, allowing vehicles to move more smoothly without crowding one another, especially during rush hours. Moreover, constructing wider roads and additional highways provides more lanes for vehicles, enabling commuters to travel more efficiently and reach their destinations on time. Therefore, many people believe that this is an effective solution to traffic congestion, and it has been adopted in many countries such as Vietnam and Thailand.
On the other hand, investing in train and subway networks can significantly ease pressure on roads. Train and subway can call is metro, allowing to carry a large number of passengers at the same time, they can help reduce private vehicles and decrease gridlock. Building train and subway is long-term solution because they encourage humans take part in public trainsport rather than use private vehicles. In addition, trainsport will be reduced long-term times traffic congestion better than build roads, allowing to people use a way of convenience and cost saving. For many years, Japan has successfully developed extensive subway networks, which have not only alleviated traffic congestion but also contributed to a cleaner environment.
In conclusion, both public transport investment and road expansion can help address traffic congestion. However, I believe that governments should give priority to developing train and subway systems, as they offer a more sustainable and efficient means of meeting growing transportation demands while minimizing environmental impacts.
