Art has always been an important part of human civilization. While some argue that art provides our purpose and meaning of life, other argue that it is simply a form of entertainment that distracts people from real-world responsibilites. This essay wiil discuss both view perspective before explaining why i believe art plays a valuable role in society.
On the on hand, many people consider art to be a sources of inspiration and personal growth. Forms of art such as music, literature, painting and theathre allow individuals to express their emotion, ideas and cultural identities. In additional, art can encourage people to think deeply about social issue and human experience, for example novels and films often raise awareness of problems such as poverty, dicrimination and environment degradation. As a result, art not only enriches people’s lives but also helps them understand themselves and the world around them.
On the other hand, some individuals view art as a distraction form more practical concerns. They argue that people should focus on activites that directly contribute to economic development and personal sucess, such as education, work, and technology innovation. Form this perspective, spending excessive time on artistic pursuits may reduce productivy and divert attention from urgent social and financial challenges. For instance, some students may devote too much time to entertainment related activities and neglect their academic responsibilities.
In my opinion, although art can occassionally become a distraction if it is consumed excessively its overall contribution to society is a for more significant. Art promotes creativity, emotional well being and cultural understanding , all of which are essential for a balanced and fulfulling life. without art life would become monotonous and lack many of the qualities that make us human.
In conclusion, while some people believe that art distracts individuals from real-life priorities, others argue that it gives life meaning and purpose. I strongly support the latter view because art enriches human experiences and contributes positively to both individuals and society.
